Introducing Procurement and Supply

60 hours
Level 2
CIPS — Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply
english

Course Overview

Every procurement career starts with the same vocabulary. This foundation module covers the language of the profession — sourcing, supply chains, the five rights of procurement — and the role procurement plays inside any organization. By the end you can read a procurement job description and understand exactly what's being asked of you.

What you will learn

  • Map the procurement function and the value it creates inside an organization
  • Walk through the five rights of procurement and what each means in practice
  • Identify each stage of the sourcing process from requisition to payment
  • Apply the CIPS Code of Conduct to spot bonded labour, conflicts of interest, and ethical risk in supply chains
