Course Overview

Procurement work is half about products and half about people. This module covers internal stakeholders (marketing, finance, operations), external ones (suppliers, customers, regulators), and the communication techniques that keep them aligned. Includes basic conflict resolution and the team dynamics that make cross-functional procurement work.

Core module · 3 credits · Objective Response (OR) exam · 1-hour duration. The people side of procurement. You'll cover who the stakeholders of the procurement function are — internal (marketing, finance, HR, operations) and external (suppliers, customers, regulators) — the market forces that shape their behaviour, and the communication and conflict-resolution techniques that keep cross-functional procurement work moving.
